Description

This bread can be made with or without the chocolate chips and nuts. It's just as tasty either way!! Try a piece warm from the oven with a little bit of butter smeared on it and a cup of tea or coffee. Perfect snack anytime of day.

Ingredients

  • 3⁄4 c canned pumpkin
  • 1⁄2 c butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 3⁄4 c flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cinnamin
  • 1⁄2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1⁄4 tsp ginger
  • 1⁄4 tsp cloves
  • 1 c sugar
  • 3⁄4 c choc. chips
  • 3⁄4 c chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans work best)

Instructions

Grease and flour a loaf pan. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Mix all the wet ingredients together. Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture. Mix well. Stir in the chocolate chips and nuts if desired and then place into loaf pan. Bake for 65-70 minutes or until toothpick inserted near middle comes out clean. If desired you can glaze with a powdered sugar glaze or leave as is.
