Introduction

The cake part bakes into a lighter brown chocolate color and the taste and texture remind me of a Devil Dog.

Ingredients

Cake ingredients:                          Filling ingredients:
1/2 C Shortening                            1C shortening
1 C sugar                                      1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg                                            1 C Confectioner's Sugar
1 C milk                                        1 C Marshmellow Fluff
1/4 tsp. salt
2 C flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 C cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

Preheat oven 450. Cream shortening and sugar. Add egg and milk then rest of ingredients. Drop by teaspoonfulls on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 450 for 7 minutes. Cool on wire rack.

To make the filling, beat with electric mixer all ingredients. Add 2 tsp. milk. Put filling between cooled cookies.
