Keith accepted a job offer this morning. He starts Sept. 15th! Still praying for that right buyer to come along!
So, this week Keith has been on the phone almost every day regarding different contracts. Yep, contractS; meaning many, more than one! To add to that, just about an hour ago we received word that the project leader on one of the contracts is ready to extend a job offer to Keith. We should hear tomorrow or Monday.
Also, last night we had a showing on the house and they came back tonight for a second showing. So far the feedback from the first showing is that the buyers are very interested in the house.
I believe the sun, moon, stars, and planets are beginning to align...all at the command of God, the great Creator of course.:-)
So we've had all kinds of showings on the house but still no offers. We've also heard a little more activity on contracts for Keith. Yes, he is being considered for 2 contracts at the moment. Both with details yet to be worked out.
I kind of feel like a broken record but, again, we still feel this is God's direction for us and know that it will all come together in His timing.
Thanks for listening!
On Tuesday of this week we actually had 2 showings, one in the morning and one in the evening. The buyers at the second showing seem very interested but we have not heard an offer come in yet.
I was just called and there is now a showing scheduled for Monday but it would seem that these are buyers who have not seen the house yet, not a second showing.
We are still waiting for a position on a contract to materialize for Keith as well. Nothing more really to report there.
That's the latest!
Since I last posted we've had another showing on the house and a little more information come our way on a contract for Keith. The contract sounds promising but is in the "waiting for funding" stage. There is not an estimated time on when this may or may not happen so we are still in the incredibly monotonous waiting stage. However, I am thankful for this little bit of news. I still believe, wholeheartedly, that God is still orchestrating things and I need to be patient.
As far as the showings, we've had no offers yet. It's all been positive feedback but that's about all. As Keith says, "We just need to wait and see how things play out".
We had two showings on the house this week. One showing on Thursday and one on Friday. We haven't heard any feedback yet. This could mean one of two things: either the buyers are not interested in the house or the Real Estate Agent is slow in getting back to us. We'll keep you updated!
I've been hearing the comment a lot lately, "You are still here?". Yes, we are still in NH waiting to hear about a contract in Maryland. Fortunately, we have not received any offers on our house yet. There are days when I feel anxious about all of this and then there are days when I can totally rest in knowing that God is in control and is orchestrating everything. Today, I'm feeling 50/50.
First of all, we would like to say a big "Thank You" to everyone who showed their sympathy during our time of loss of our cat, Bandit. We love you all!
So, the house has been on the market now for almost 3 1/2 weeks. The last 2 weeks we did not have one showing. According to our Realtor, things slow down because of weddings and graduations this time of year. Things should pick up a little after the 4th of July and then the next surge will most likely be August/September.
However, yesterday, I received a phone call at 10:15am saying someone would like to come see the house between 11:30am and 12:30pm. Well, I was almost to the grocery store with the kids and had not picked up the house before we left. So, we scrambled home and the kids did a fantastic job helping me tidy up the house for the showing. We received feedback last night that they liked the house, felt it was priced right but the wife wants a formal dining room. The husband still wants to keep our house on his list. I guess it's just a matter of seeing who wins out.
We're still waiting to hear about a contract for Keith in Maryland so we would appreciate it if you could continue to keep that in your prayers.
That's all for now!

I have some sad news. We had to have our cat, Bandit put down today. The diagnosis was either heart failure or cancer. To even do the MRI would have caused to much stress on him and he would most likely have not survived it. So, we felt it was more humane to put him out of his misery.
The kids are quite upset but that is to be expected. This is really the first time they've had to deal with losing something/someone close to them. They're planning on drawing pictures later as a tribute to him. It's funny, he wasn't a cat they could cuddle with or even pat but there was still a bond.
So, we ask for your prayers as we grieve the loss of Bandit.
Well, so much for not being busy or having much activity. It's Sunday morning and we will be getting ready for church in just a little while as well as getting ready for our 4th showing on the house. It's been on the market one week from yesterday. Yeah, kind of crazy! So, I guess there is something to be said for using PVRM (Prudential Value Range Marketing). Instead of placing a fixed selling price on our home, the Realtor advertises that we, the sellers, will entertain offers from - and then they give a range of prices. Our range is $244,900 to $284,876. I was skeptical at first but I feel it is helping to get people to at least come out and take a look.
We have not had any feedback yet so I'm not sure if we'll need to make more changes. I'm getting anxious to hear what people are saying and if they are saying things that we can change or if this is going to be a long process because people are looking for a different style home. I'll keep you posted!
